AV Technician

Colorado State University is seeking a highly skilled AV Technician to join our team. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting audiovisual equipment in various university facilities.

• Install and maintain audiovisual equipment, including projectors, signal switchers, microphone systems, and control systems.
• Configure and install listening assistance devices for hearing-impaired students and for captioning services.
• Work with emergency situations pertaining to lecture capture and audio-visual equipment installations.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with audiovisual equipment, including hardware and software problems.
• Provide technical support and training to faculty and staff on the use of audiovisual equipment.

• Two-year degree in a field related to electronics, computer technology, engineering, or other fields requiring electronic communication equipment.
• Knowledge of audiovisual equipment and systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Four-year degree in a field related to electronics, computer technology, engineering, or other fields requiring electronic communication equipment.
• Industry certifications related to electronics and/or AV equipment.
• Technical expertise in video capture systems and streaming technologies.

The AV Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. The technician will be required to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of audiovisual equipment in various university facilities.
