Job Title: Principal Engineer Software

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer Software to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Global Surveillance Division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software applications and systems that meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and ensure seamless system operation
  • Develop and maintain software documentation and technical guides
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to software development best practices
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on design, development, and testing
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies
  • Experience with Agile development and version control systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with cloud-based software development and deployment
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
  • Certifications in software development, such as AWS Certified Developer or Certified Scrum Master

Clearance:

Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Salary Range:

$92,600 - $139,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
