Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

St. Charles Health System is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and related procedures in accordance with established department and hospital guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound examinations and related procedures on patients of all ages, from newborns to adults.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, explaining procedures and answering questions.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, examination results, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registry or Registry eligible (OB/GYN, Abdominal and Physics).
  • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license required.
  • Valid Oregon State Driver's License.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA BLS/CPR).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional ARDMS registries.
  • Support RDMS, SDMS, and local affiliations.
Work Environment:

St. Charles Health System Diagnostic Imaging Departments perform X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and PET/CT exams in a variety of locations. We work closely with our partners at Cascade Medical Imaging to meet the imaging needs of our community and to support the ED, OR, Inpatient Floors, and Family Birthing Center.

Physical Requirements:

Continually (75% or more): Standing and walking, keyboard operation, use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level.

Frequently (50%): Sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 1-25 pounds. The use and operation of a motor vehicle for Home Health and Wound Caregivers.

Occasionally (25%): Bending, stooping/kneeling/crouching, climbing ladder/step-stool (varies by area), reaching overhead, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 25-50 pounds, grasping/squeezing, ability to hear whispered speech level.

Rarely (10%): Climbing stairs.
