Maintenance Supervisor-3rd Shift Job Description

This role oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, buildings, and grounds to ensure a safe manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot process and equipment problems, provide technical support, and develop preventative actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign work orders to the workforce based on preventative/predictive maintenance work lists.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance equipment inspection processes through training, auditing, and enforcement.
  • Review equipment inspection checklists/reports and issue corrective action where applicable.
  • Administer automated time and attendance systems for assigned employees.
  • Ensure the workforce has the necessary tools to safely, effectively, and efficiently perform tasks.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Administer Collective Bargaining Agreements in accordance with company philosophies, policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety and Housekeeping policies and procedures through training, auditing, and enforcement.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental and Health policies and procedures through training, auditing, and enforcement.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures in a timely, consistent, and appropriate manner.
  • Identify continual improvement and advanced (lean) manufacturing projects and drive results.
Requirements:
  • Two-year technical degree or relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in supervision.
  • Proven technical skills in maintenance of large manufacturing equipment.
  • Understanding of applicable standards and codes.
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated use of analytical tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems.
  • Proficient with PC applications, preferably Microsoft.
