The Senior Preconstruction Manager is a key role within the Preconstruction functional group at Sun Tribe Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC). This position reports directly to the Vice President of Preconstruction and is responsible for developing quality business opportunities that enable efficient delivery in a predictable manner.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, qualify, and advance business opportunities through information gathering, relationship building, and preliminary work to decide if Sun Tribe will bid and employ a specific strategy.
- Lead the bid process through internal interactions with Project Engineering and Supply Chain, as well as external interactions with new and existing subcontractors, project owners, and developers.
- Mature projects by creating initial budgets and schedules, guiding the project during early development, and deliberate handover to the Project Manager.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of six years of combined experience in Project Management and Project Estimating, with a minimum of three years in ground-mounted solar.
- Professional Certificate in Construction Estimating and/or PMI Project Management Certificate is advantageous.
- High competence in MS Excel and MS Project is required.
- Experience in Procore or other construction management software is advantageous.
