Job Summary:
The Faculty Staff Assistance Program at Emory University is seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to provide targeted behavioral health, education, and outreach services for medical residents and fellows in training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical services, including comprehensive mental health assessments, psychotherapy, clinical consultations, coaching services, case management, crisis intervention, and critical incident response.
- Develop and provide workshops on wellness topics, such as resident physician burnout prevention, resilience, change management, sleep hygiene, managing conflict, and stress management.
- Collaborate with the School of Medicine Wellness Working Group and other Graduate Medical Education initiatives to promote the health and well-being of residents and fellows.
- Maintain a referral network of medical and mental health providers and develop mental health resources for GME and FSAP websites.
- Evaluate program impact and research projects to promote academic scholarship and provide quarterly and annual reports to reflect utilization of services.
Requirements:
- Doctorate in counseling/clinical psychology and two years of psychological counseling experience.
- Licensed as a Psychologist or license eligible in Georgia.
- Cover letter required for consideration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of related experience in mental health, substance abuse/chemical dependency intervention, clinical assessment, and psychotherapy.
- Experience in medical and higher education environments.
- Knowledge/experience with employee assistance programs and wellness/well-being services.
