Plumbing Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumbing Instructor to join our team at Guilford Technical Community College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training to students in the plumbing technology program.

• Develop and teach plumbing courses, including lecture and laboratory components, to prepare students for industry certification and employment.
• Design and implement learner-centered lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Utilize current technology and instructional materials to enhance the learning experience and promote student engagement.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports student success and well-being.
• Assess student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback to promote academic growth and achievement.

• Diploma in Plumbing Technology from a regionally accredited institution.
• North Carolina Class 1 Plumbing License or the ability to attain it before hire.
• 5 years of relevant industry experience in plumbing, with teaching and/or industry training experience preferred.

• Associate of Applied Science degree in Plumbing Technology or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes, distance learning, and/or alternate instructional delivery systems.
