Role Overview
Newell Brands is on the lookout for a Brand Finance Analyst to assist with the Calphalon and Crock-Pot brands.

This position is primarily centered on the domestic US market, with opportunities for global engagement, collaborating closely with the Brand Management team on innovation and various initiatives aimed at fostering profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Engage in the New Product Development process (Innovation and Renovation) by collaborating with cross-functional partners, including Brand Management, Customer Planning, Sales, and Brand Cost Finance.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing financial documents and inputs into Anaplan, analyzing variances from previous project stages, and supporting cross-functional team members as required.
- Contributing to monthly closing activities by providing insights on key P&L drivers for the month compared to

forecasts, budgets, and prior year performance, focusing on customer and product volume/mix, trade spending, and advertising and promotions.

- Assisting in the preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic plans, in close collaboration with Brand Management, Customer Planning, and Supply Chain.

- Generating periodic reports and analyses, enhancing profitability insights to drive growth and mitigate risks.

- Coordinating with Brand Cost Finance to summarize the effects of standard costs and manufacturing variances for historical, current, and future key material costs.

- Cultivating positive and collaborative relationships within the finance team and across cross-functional and regional leadership.
- Supporting process improvement initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Ensuring adherence to governance, control, and compliance with both corporate and external procedures and audits.

Qualifications and Experience Desired
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferably within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with SAP and Oracle/Hyperion planning systems is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-driven in achieving objectives and completing routine responsibilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and engage with individuals at all organizational levels.
