Job Summary

As a Perioperative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our perioperative department. Your primary responsibilities will include providing basic care services, transporting patients and equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare operating rooms for each case, ensuring all necessary equipment is in place.
  • Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently, using correct body mechanics to prevent injury.
  • Assist with specimen handling and transportation, adhering to strict policies and procedures.
  • Stock supplies and equipment, maintaining par levels and ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Collaborate with the Products Coordinator to unpack and deliver supplies from the warehouse.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need previous patient care experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. BLS certification is also required.
