Job Overview

Spirit AeroSystems is a leading manufacturer of aerostructures for commercial and defense customers. As a Senior Manufacturing Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the planning, development, and control of operations business areas to ensure successful execution of contracts in line with customer schedules, specifications, and cost targets.

Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement operational strategies that drive quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
  • To lead and motivate a team of managers and employees to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • To collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • To identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • To develop and manage budgets and forecasts to ensure financial performance.
  • To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • To build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • To identify and develop opportunities for growth and expansion.
Requirements

Requirements,

  • 5-8 years of experience in a management role in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Experience working in a machine shop environment is preferred.
  • Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline with either a postgraduate qualification in operations management or similar experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Effective planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Highly customer-focused with the ability to liaise at all levels both externally and internally.
  • Demonstrated experience of leadership and financial and business acumen.
  • Knowledge and experience of lean practice within manufacturing.
