Position Overview:

The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operational and administrative functions of the pharmacy department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Monitoring: Establishes performance metrics and ensures compliance with regulatory standards, while developing training programs to enhance staff capabilities.
  • Policy Development: Formulates and implements policies and procedures to optimize pharmacy operations and maintain compliance with external regulations.
  • Education and Training: Keeps abreast of advancements in pharmaceutical practices and technologies, providing ongoing education to staff and pharmacy residents.
  • Human Resource Oversight: Manages staff assignments, evaluates performance, and provides guidance to enhance employee development.
  • Inventory Management: Ensures the proper storage and accountability of pharmaceutical products, while maintaining effective inventory control.
  • Administrative Support: Participates in pharmacy committees and contributes to the strategic planning of pharmacy services.

Work Environment:

This position operates under the general supervision of senior pharmacy leadership, allowing for significant autonomy in decision-making and operational management.


Schedule:

This role typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with no telework or remote options available.


Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution and hold a valid pharmacy license. Experience in a supervisory role within a pharmacy setting is preferred.
