Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transdev. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of buses and heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Rebuild and repair engines, transmissions, and other components as needed.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and ensure all vehicles are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; diesel trade school preferred.
  • Valid Class B driver's license with Passenger endorsement and excellent motor vehicle record required.
  • Current DOT certification must be maintained.
  • Three to five years' recent bus or heavy-duty truck repair experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, heavy equipment engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems required.
