Job Description

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Solo Truck Driver to join our team. As a Solo OTR Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers across the country, while ensuring the highest level of safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods across the country
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Load and unload freight, and assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules
Requirements:
  • Class A CDL with endorsements for the position
  • Minimum 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
