About the Role

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our Bloomington, IL Civil and Sites Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with project engineers and project managers to perform duties such as terrain modeling, earthwork analysis, site utility conveyance and permitting, hydraulic design, stormwater detention and water quality modeling and system design, preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications, and design and preparation of stormwater pollution prevention plans.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and clients' management, operations and maintenance staff to achieve project goals.
  • Design, report writing, field investigations, cost estimating, construction observation, attendance at client meetings, and overnight travel to project sites.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required. A Master's degree in advanced studies will be recognized in the evaluation process.
  • Previous engineering experience, or internship experience, is preferred but not required.
  • Registered Engineer Intern that has passed the FE exam or is taking steps to become a certified Engineer Intern.
  • Experience using AutoCAD or Civil 3D software is preferred. Experience with other design and analysis software tools will be recognized in the evaluation process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments on a variety of projects, work in an environment to learn quickly, take initiative, and interact with a variety of people.
  • Ability to work in the field as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
