About the Role

Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our Bloomington, IL Civil and Sites Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with project engineers and project managers to perform duties such as terrain modeling, earthwork analysis, site utility conveyance and permitting, hydraulic design, stormwater detention and water quality modeling and system design, preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications, and design and preparation of stormwater pollution prevention plans.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and clients' management, operations, and maintenance staff to achieve project goals.
  • Design, report writing, field investigations, cost estimating, construction observation, attendance at client meetings, and overnight travel to project sites.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required. Master's degree in advanced studies recognized in the evaluation process.
  • Previous engineering experience or internship experience preferred but not required.
  • Registered Engineer Intern with FE exam passed or taking steps to become certified.
  • Experience using AutoCAD or Civil 3D software preferred. Other design and analysis software tools recognized in the evaluation process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments on various projects, work in an environment to learn quickly, take initiative, and interact with a variety of people.
  • Ability to work in the field as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
