General Function:
This role is pivotal in assisting with the planning and execution of various events, promotions, and sponsorships within the designated market area. The individual will primarily oversee digital strategies, employing diverse methods such as social media and online marketing.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess a professional demeanor, exhibit excellent communication skills, and demonstrate strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

District Store Director; Store Manager, Assistant Manager HWH, Perishables, and Store Operations

None

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, ensuring every customer feels valued.
  2. Design and implement various digital marketing campaigns and promotions.
  3. Maintain an organized digital content calendar.
  4. Create engaging content for daily social media updates.
  5. Support local stores in managing social media content and promotions.
  6. Collaborate with the marketing director and vendors to establish local sponsorships and community initiatives.
  7. Assist in planning and executing community events and sponsorship activities.
  8. Compile summaries of donation events, manage store funds, and liaise with charitable organizations.
  9. Represent Hy-Vee at local events and promotional activities.
  10. Utilize various software and social media platforms, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Facebook, and Twitter.
  11. Adhere to scheduled work hours and commitments.

Secondary Responsibilities:
  1. Provide media credits and charges to stores during inventory.
  2. Represent Hy-Vee at various functions.
  3. Manage payments for membership renewals.
  4. Assist in other store areas as required.
  5. Complete additional job-related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Uphold company standards, assign tasks, plan work for others, and coordinate activities effectively.

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in internet marketing and pay-per-click advertising, along with familiarity with Outlook, Word, and Excel, is essential.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to perform light physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks requiring close and distant vision, depth perception, and color recognition. The candidate must be capable of performing physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, and repetitive motions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics:
The candidate should possess strong logical reasoning skills to solve problems involving various abstract and concrete variables. Arithmetic skills involving fractions, decimals, and percentages are necessary. The ability to report, write, or edit articles for publication, prepare legal documents, deliver presentations, and evaluate technical data is also required.

Working Conditions:
This position involves regular exposure to monetary transactions for reconciliation. The work environment is fast-paced, with significant pressure to meet deadlines.

Equipment Used:
The role requires the use of a calculator, computer, telephone, intercom, fax machines, and copier.

Contacts:
Daily interactions with department managers, suppliers, vendors, customers, employees, the general public, and local schools for donation requests are expected.

Confidentiality:
The position involves access to confidential information, including costs, pricing, promotional items, and sales data.
