Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager or designated supervisor in a GMP-compliant manufacturing setting adhering to Q7A standards.
  • Assist with new industrial installations and maintenance repairs, following verbal and written work orders that may include guidelines and schematics, with tasks typically not requiring independent judgment.

Primary Duties:

  • Support pipefitters, ironworkers, painters, insulators, and maintenance mechanics in the installation and repair of existing systems.
  • Apply company maintenance material standards and compile material lists/quantities as required for specific projects.
  • Dismantle ductwork on packaging lines.
  • Assist Maintenance Mechanics with routine tasks.
  • Complete work orders as directed.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance activities as instructed.
  • Ability to rebuild pumps, with training provided.
  • Execute required tasks safely and punctually.
  • Transport and organize various items (e.g., tools, equipment, supplies) to ensure material availability for efficient task execution.
  • Respond to urgent situations to address immediate safety concerns.
  • Perform any additional tasks deemed necessary by Management for the enhancement of Jost operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Training or experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of:
  1. Basic Arithmetic and Geometry.
  2. Fundamental industrial safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
Skills in:
  1. Organizing tools and materials.
  2. Utilizing standard tools and equipment in the insulating trade.
  3. Working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  4. Interpreting drawings, instructions, and service manuals.
Ability to:
  1. Work in extreme temperature conditions (up to 120F) in an industrial setting.
  2. Follow oral and written instructions, sketches, and diagrams in English.
  3. Lift up to 50 pounds and operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  4. Work safely from ladders and scaffolds.
  5. Adhere to established company policies and procedures.
  6. Operate and maintain a variety of maintenance tools and equipment.
  7. Exhibit manual dexterity, perceptual speed, and flexibility.
  8. Adapt to rapidly changing priorities based on business needs.
  9. Pass a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen and physical capabilities test.
