KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure strict compliance with all standard operating procedures and specifications to uphold food safety standards.
  • Actively engage in achieving production targets by monitoring performance, acknowledging accomplishments, and effectively communicating with the team.
  • Work closely with inventory and scheduling teams to create weekly plans that align with client requirements, optimizing resources and process efficiency while prioritizing team member safety.
  • Evaluate and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain process improvements and identify areas for further enhancement.
  • Produce reports and dashboards to track progress and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Train and mentor direct reports on how to effectively manage a highly efficient and organized production environment.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and inefficiencies; implement solutions to enhance workflow and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate staffing needs with the site HR department.
  • Conduct performance management activities, including goal setting, performance reviews, and addressing performance issues collaboratively.
  • Encourage positive employee relations through consistent interpersonal interactions and organizing team-building activities.
  • Promote a culture of personal investment among team members, emphasizing care for themselves, each other, the organization, and the work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in leading teams within a fast-paced packaging environment.
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and finished goods management.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Experience with inventory and cost management systems such as Oracle, SAP, or MS Dynamics.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 40-50 pounds, as the role may involve physical tasks related to production processes.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion activities, including bending and twisting throughout the shift.
  • Will work near moving mechanical parts and moderate noise with variable temperatures (hot and cold).
