Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Patient Access Liaison to facilitate patient flow from scheduling through registration check-in, ensuring a seamless experience for patients. This role involves obtaining demographic and financial information, verifying insurance eligibility, and securing payment sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and staff professionally, checking them into the system and providing direction based on appointment location and financial clearance.
  • Respond to telephone calls, providing requested information and contributing to reduction of abandoned call rates and average speed answered.
  • Perform accurate patient searches and establish appointments for services, following designated protocols and clinical EMRs.
  • Registration functions, entering demographic and financial information to secure payment for services rendered.
  • Insurance eligibility verification and execution of payor requirements, as needed.
  • Provide estimates for services and communicate patient liability.
  • Obtain signatures for required consents and notifications.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or GED with 2 years job-related experience.
  • Associate degree with 6 months job-related experience, preferred.
  • Basic MS Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word skills.
  • Customer Service and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to obtain NAHAM certification after one year of service.
Working Conditions
  • Significant manual skills and motor coordination.
  • Some occupational risk.
  • Medium to heavy effort, exerting up to 35 lbs. force.
  • Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
