Infrastructure Director

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Infrastructure to join our team at Koddi. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing infrastructure team that designs, implements, and manages our technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure systems, including network, servers, storage, and cloud services.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives, driving innovation and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure needs, identify opportunities for optimization, and drive innovation initiatives.
- Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and policies to maintain a secure and compliant infrastructure environment.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, making recommendations for adoption to enhance infrastructure capabilities and efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts, negotiating agreements and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Develop and manage infrastructure budgets, forecasting future needs and resource requirements.
- Build and develop a talented team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where team members can thrive and grow.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing infrastructure teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, cloud computing, and storage technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to design and manage infrastructure that supports high-scale, low-latency SaaS applications.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and real-time data processing is essential.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with a proven track record of optimizing performance and cost.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures is a plus.
- Experience in mentoring and developing engineering talent is important.
- Expertise in implementing and maintaining high availability, fault-tolerant systems.
- Knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, access control, and compliance with industry standards.
- Experience in automating infrastructure processes, deploying CI/CD pipelines, and adopting new technologies to improve performance and reliability.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
- Deep knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
