Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team for the evening shift.

Incentive: Explore our competitive sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years of MRI experience with Siemens equipment.
  • Proficiency in EPIC and PACS systems.
  • Completion of an MRI program or a 24-month radiologic technology program is required.
  • ARRT MR advanced registry or ARMRIT certification is mandatory at the time of hire.

The MRI Imaging Specialist will conduct MRI examinations while ensuring the safety and integrity of the MRI operational area for all individuals, including staff and patients. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining adequate inventory of supplies for examinations.
  • Explaining procedures to patients and completing necessary documentation.

Additional Experience:

  • Preferred: 1 year in a Radiologic Technologist role, including Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, or Ultrasound.
  • Preferred: Six months of MR experience or completion of an MR didactic program.

Certifications Required:

  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication abilities.
