Job Summary

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Thrift Store Clerk to join our team. As a Thrift Store Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining the store's standard operating level and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all shelves and clothing racks are fully stocked and organized to promote sales.
  • Assist the management team in pricing items and processing merchandise efficiently.
  • Perform daily duties such as stocking racks, shelves, and counters with merchandise.
  • Learn and train on the entire processing system, including cash registers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Retail and/or cash register experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions

The Thrift Store Clerk will work in a retail environment with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
