Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary representative for the organization in overseeing the construction project from inception to completion.
  • Manage contract administration, documentation, change orders, procurement, and scheduling.
  • Work collaboratively with the pre-construction team, including stakeholders, architects, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors, to address constructability and value engineering challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to the owner's contract and oversee the development of the master project timeline and quality assurance program.
  • Identify critical issues and milestones, collaborating with the Preconstruction Department to assess budgets and project scopes.
  • Oversee project financials, anticipate potential additional costs, and ensure safety measures are integrated into job planning and execution.
  • Prepare and manage Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) or Lump Sum Contracts, subcontract agreements, and monthly owner requisitions.
  • Evaluate the financial capabilities of subcontractors and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations prior to mobilization.
  • Conduct regular reviews of job cost reports and develop Look-Ahead Schedules.
  • Lead the organization's quality control initiatives on the project to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to company standards for safety, quality, and profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management, particularly with large-scale hospital projects.
  • Expertise in electrical systems with practical experience in managing change orders and project cost estimation.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Word, Excel, AIA Contract Documents).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols, project scheduling, cost management, quality assurance, and interpreting engineering drawings.
