System One is seeking a highly skilled Plant Engineer to join our team. As a Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial facilities. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
Key Responsibilities- Rotate through operations, maintenance, and material handling to gain a deep understanding of plant equipment and processes.
- Identify and resolve abnormal equipment conditions to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Provide technical guidance on processes, procedures, repairs, and projects to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in project development and proposal evaluations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and assist in project execution to maintain budget and schedule.
- Coordinate contractors for testing and maintenance to ensure seamless execution.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
- Monitor and resolve reliability and performance issues to ensure optimal equipment operation.
- Support planning and execution of outages to minimize disruption to operations.
- Implement PDM technologies to detect equipment issues and improve overall efficiency.
- Maintain a backlog of assigned Work Orders to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with plant departments to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Participate in Management of Change initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Research and develop alternative monitoring and maintenance methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Create Work Orders and Purchase Requisitions to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 2+ years of Plant Engineering experience.
- Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical systems.
- Industrial Data Management software.
- AutoCAD.
- APM Software (Asset Performance Manager).
- Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Distributed Control System (DCS).
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
