ROLE SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician will be an integral part of the Repair and Maintenance division, tasked with the upkeep and repair of hydraulic fracturing and cementing machinery (including trucks, frac pumps, blenders, hydration units, and cement pumps) utilizing hand and power tools while adhering to both verbal and written directives.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will prioritize compliance with Calfrac Well Services' operational, safety, and environmental protocols at all times.
WORK SCHEDULE:
10 days on, 4 days off
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate effective communication with district management regarding operations and ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the formulation of policies and procedures to fulfill operational service line requirements.
- Collaborate with various operational teams, including Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Human Resources, to ensure seamless operations.
- Oversee employee and equipment assignments and schedules to meet customer demands, upholding the corporate mandate of "Service First."
- Ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures to achieve safety objectives.
- Motivate and inspire others to adhere to the Corporate Code of Business Ethics.
- Maintain Calfrac safety standards consistently, including a tidy work environment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment for leaks, checking fluids and gauges, cleaning and lubricating parts, and examining hoses, clamps, frames, and crossmembers.
- Diagnose malfunctions in all mobile and fixed pressure pumping equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems, diesel engines, and automatic transmissions.
- Disassemble equipment to extract parts and perform repairs.
- Repair, replace, adjust, and align equipment components.
- Test repaired machinery to confirm the adequacy of repairs.
- Operate equipment and effectively communicate proper operation to others.
- Undertake various other duties as assigned.

- Frequent lifting (up to 70 lbs) and physical activities such as bending, twisting, and standing.
- Exposure to outdoor working conditions in varying weather (hot, cold, dust, dirt, noise).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in or familiarity with oilfield services.
- Minimum of 2 years in equipment maintenance required, with diesel and hydraulic experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record; Class A CDL preferred.
