Job Summary

The Pipe Foreman will play a crucial role in the supervision of craft activities to ensure optimal productivity and construction compliance at Hubbard Construction. This position requires a strong leader who can oversee the layout, assembly, and installation of various sizes and types of drain pipe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise daily activities of a 2 – 7 person crew to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Utilize heavy equipment to excavate, install, and backfill drainage pipe, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Sequence pipe installation to minimize interference with other project activities and the public.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards or safety concerns, maintaining a safe work environment that complies with the Company safety program.
  • Responsible for crew safety, establishing a safe work environment that meets the Company's safety standards.
  • Analyze job cost reports to ensure production is within budget, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Review and approve employee time reporting, ensuring accurate records.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Pipe Foreman, with a strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
  • Valid Florida Driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required.
  • Ability to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, stooping, bending, and crouching, as well as lifting and carrying heavy materials.
  • Manual dexterity to hand-carry generators, lumber, and other construction materials, forms, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Ability to maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to high levels of noise, grease, and dust. The Pipe Foreman will work near heavy equipment and moving machinery, with occasional exposure to various substances commonly found on construction sites.
