Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our Home Health team at WVU Medicine. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services in the comfort of patients' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' physical abilities and develop personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and function.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional evaluations, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions, such as modalities, exercises, and manual therapy, to promote patient recovery and independence.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Supervise and educate assistive personnel and physical therapy students to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of West Virginia or equivalent state.
  • Eligibility for membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or West Virginia Physical Therapy Association (WVPTA).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Physical Therapist in home health or similar settings.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy continuing education and professional development opportunities.
