OverviewKelemen North and South 9 is a two-sided, seventy-six bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. Our staff provide care for a diverse range of patient populations, including cardiac, trauma, gastrointestinal, and psych. To support our staff, Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) assist with patient care, throughput, and assignments. Nurses working on Kelemen 9 are required to hold Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications, ensuring competent and safe care for our complex patient populations.
Job SummaryThe Graduate Nurse (GN) is a skilled caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The GN supervises and provides care to these patients using the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self. The GN holds a temporary emergency RN license and is eligible to work under supervision in an acute care facility licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health. This supervision may take the form of a preceptor relationship. The GN follows established policies and procedures, communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors, and provides excellent customer service by interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians. The GN applies Cooper core values and performs other duties as required.
