Job Overview

Karya Property Management is seeking a skilled Make Ready Technician to ensure vacated apartments are thoroughly prepared for new residents. This full-time position offers competitive compensation based on experience.

As a Make Ready Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining apartments to ensure they meet our high standards. This includes evaluating and repairing carpet, vinyl, baseboards, trim, doors, and windows, as well as assessing and maintaining air conditioning and heating units, water heaters, and appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vacated apartments to identify areas for improvement
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn-out components, including carpet, vinyl, and trim
  • Assess and maintain air conditioning and heating units, water heaters, and appliances to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform painting duties and repair holes in walls as needed
  • Respond to service calls to make less technical repairs or replacements
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure seamless apartment preparation

Requirements:

  • 6 months of experience in a similar role at an apartment complex
  • HVAC and EPA certification
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required
  • Flexibility and dependability are essential

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, and reach above shoulders
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Work weekends and/or evenings on a rotating schedule
