Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Highmark Health. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in managing research projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage all activities related to specific clinical trials, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Patient Identification and Education: Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and other staff to identify potentially eligible patients and provide education to patients, families, and staff involved in clinical trials.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Institutional Review Board (IRB) and all regulatory agencies, maintaining accurate records and reports as required.
  • Troubleshooting and Quality Assurance: Troubleshoot problems with support areas in fulfilling requirements of the research protocol and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursing role or relevant patient-facing clinical research experience.
  • Certifications: Current PA RN License, CPR - American Heart Association, Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience as a research nurse.
