Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging scanners to capture specific images ordered by physicians to aid in patient diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform MRI scans as prescribed by physicians
* Interview patients to obtain needed information and provide education to the patient about their scan
* Maintain constant patient contact during scan and respond accordingly to patient reactions such as claustrophobic reactions
* Provide MRI information to patients, families, physicians, and other appropriate people
* Assist in developing new techniques and procedures relating to MRI
* Schedule procedures to ensure proper time allotment
* Conduct facility tours and demonstrate equipment for visitors
* Remain abreast of current developments by attending related seminars and reviewing current literature

Requirements

* Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
* Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
* Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in magnetic resonance imaging within 24 months of appointment
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
* Current knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging techniques and parameters

Preferred Qualifications

* Three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
* One year of experience in computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging
