Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and maintaining a clean and organized store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity, maintaining confidentiality and upholding our company values.
  • Orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor and ensuring efficient flow of goods.
  • Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, maintaining our high standards of presentation and organization.
  • Communicate effectively with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure seamless execution of tasks and activities.
  • Monitor productivity of the team and provide coaching and feedback as needed, ensuring we are meeting our goals and objectives.
  • Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, ensuring our store looks its best at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, upholding our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
  • Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates, providing progress updates and addressing priorities as needed.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs, identifying areas for growth and development and implementing strategies to increase effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, upholding our commitment to compliance and regulatory excellence.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs, encouraging customers to take advantage of our offers and rewards.
  • Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, working together to minimize losses and maximize profitability.
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment, ensuring the well-being of our Associates and customers.
Requirements
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering results.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and responding effectively to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Able to train others and provide coaching and feedback, with a passion for developing and growing our Associates.
  • 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience, with a strong track record of success and achievement.

This position has a starting pay range of $14.00 to $14.50 per hour, with actual starting pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment.
