Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement block-level placement and routing (P&R) and integration from early RTL to final tapeout
  • Collaborate with logic designers on block-level timing closure and optimize design for performance and power efficiency
  • Work closely with custom cell development teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Improve capacity and scalability of our full-chip design flows and develop scripts to enhance current physical design infrastructure/methodology
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design excellence and meet project deadlines
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a BSEE or Applied Science degree; 8+ years in combination with a MS degree
  • Expertise in using Synopsys ICC2/Fusion Compiler and PrimeTime, with a strong understanding of the full design cycle from RTL to GDSII
  • Prior experience with custom physical design, relative placement, and successful tape-out of multiple chips in 5nm and below
  • Strong understanding of timing constraints and timing reports, with experience in clock, power analysis, physical verification, and block delivery
  • Proficiency in Linux and/or Unix, with experience in text editors and scripting languages
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPU/GPU datapath or AI processor physical design experience, with a strong understanding of complex system design and verification
