About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing general clinical and pharmacy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret orders and accurately transcribe or verify them into the pharmacy computer system.
  • Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals with precision and efficiency.
  • Sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing non-formulary procurements and promoting rational drug therapy selection.
  • Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients.
  • Offer basic technical support for automated dispensing machines and other pharmacy computer systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S.P.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • At least one year of hospital experience.
  • Residency training or board certification is preferred.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
  • ACPE IV certification is required.
