Job Title: IHSS Attendant

At Estrella Home Health Care, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated IHSS Attendant to join our team. As an IHSS Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and toileting, to ensure their comfort and well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to infection control measures and using personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Recognize and document changes in client condition, reporting to supervisors as necessary.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Attend mandatory in-services and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
Requirements:
  • Meet applicable health requirements to provide client services.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in a manner understood by most people.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is typically performed in clients' homes or other living facilities.
  • May involve frequent exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and other potentially infectious materials.
  • Able to travel from assignment to assignment within the geographic area served.
  • Able to provide proof of valid auto liability insurance if driving own vehicle to transport clients.
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Home health experience preferred, but not required.
