DXP Enterprises is seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic to join our team. As a Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing, fabricating, installing, and removing various types of pumps and rotating equipment in-house or in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, as well as other related rotating equipment.
- Perform fabrications and installations as required.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Requirements:
- Some experience working with rotating equipment is necessary.
- Pump knowledge is preferred.
- A background check, physical, and drug test are required.
- An acceptable driving record is necessary according to company guidelines.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including inside and outside micrometers.
- Familiarity with seals is essential.
Working Conditions:
The Pump Mechanic will work in an oilfield and shop environment, lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted.
