Job Overview

DXP Enterprises is seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic to join our team. As a Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing, fabricating, installing, and removing various types of pumps and rotating equipment in-house or in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, as well as other related rotating equipment.
  • Perform fabrications and installations as required.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Requirements:

  • Some experience working with rotating equipment is necessary.
  • Pump knowledge is preferred.
  • A background check, physical, and drug test are required.
  • An acceptable driving record is necessary according to company guidelines.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including inside and outside micrometers.
  • Familiarity with seals is essential.

Working Conditions:

The Pump Mechanic will work in an oilfield and shop environment, lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted.
