Job Summary:

The American Heart Association is seeking a Senior Development Director to lead fundraising efforts in the Metro Baltimore area. This position reports to the VP of Development and requires a strong leader with excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and social skills.

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a minimum of five years of experience in corporate sales or fundraising, with at least one year of supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and proven track record of exceeding sales/fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, organization, and direction of the Baltimore market's Gala Heart Ball and Go Red for Women campaigns
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with senior level volunteers/customers
  • Supervise assigned staff to reach revenue goals
  • Develop and lead/monitor budgets within span of control
