Job Summary

Corvid Technologies is seeking a highly skilled GNC Modeling and Simulation Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Guidance, Navigation, and Control group, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and integrating Multiple-Input Multiple-Output autopilot algorithms for flight vehicle stabilization and control.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and analyze trajectory optimization and guidance methods
  • Develop, test, and maintain autopilot algorithms in Corvid's six degree of freedom simulation model
  • Support development of guided supersonic and hypersonic flight vehicles
  • Develop and perform test plans for ground testing of GNC algorithms in Corvid's GNC laboratories
  • Day-to-day informal and formal report generation
  • Support flight testing
Requirements
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering, math, computer science, or physics
  • Strong background in both Numerical Mathematics and Computer Science (algorithms, data structures, etc.)
  • 5 years of C++11 or later experience
  • Proficient in shell scripting languages
  • Direct experience in creating and implementing parallel/concurrent algorithms for high performance computing systems
  • Direct experience in implementing time domain flight vehicle simulations
  • Familiar with MPI and multithreading packages
  • Ability to write clear, elegant, and maintainable codes
  • Familiar with version control, continuous integration, and software testing tools
  • An open-minded team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience in implementing vehicles model in a real-time Linux environment
  • Direct experience in building simulation systems for modern HPC systems
  • 10 years of C++11 or later experience
  • C++14/17 experience
  • 5+ years of industry experience
