Physical Therapist Assistant Role

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a key member of our physical therapy department, you will work closely with licensed therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support the delivery of evidence-based physical therapy interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments, testing, and therapy sessions using standard physical therapy modalities to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
- Administer physical therapy interventions as planned and directed by the Physical Therapist to facilitate quality patient care.
- Instruct and assist patients, monitor patient performance, and physical status to ascertain effectiveness of program.
- Assist with patient mobility, including bed mobility, transfers, and gait, while utilizing modalities correctly and answering patient questions regarding use of modalities.
- Candidate must be physically capable of prolonged standing, moving, pushing, and holding.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
