Position Overview

Location: 7330 Market Str. Wilmington, NC

Work Schedule: Full-time (30 hours or more per week)

Key Responsibilities:

The Cashier plays a crucial role in ensuring that both customers and donors receive exceptional service. This position involves managing point of sale transactions, organizing merchandise, and maintaining an inviting atmosphere in the store.

  • Provide professional representation of the ReStore when interacting with customers, donors, volunteers, and staff.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers and addressing inquiries.
  • Operate the point of sale system efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle cash transactions responsibly, including opening and closing the register.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and cash accountability throughout your shift.
  • Assist in stocking and organizing merchandise to ensure a well-maintained store.
  • Contribute to a clean and safe shopping environment.
  • Support the success of our volunteer program by fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Commitment to the mission of Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity.
  • Basic cash handling experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong customer service abilities.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Availability to work on Saturdays.
  • Physical capability to lift 40+ lbs. and perform various physical tasks.
  • Ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Meet deadlines as established by management.
  • Pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
