Precision Machinist

Burgess Norton Mfg Co, a leading manufacturer of high-quality machined products, is seeking an experienced Precision Machinist to join our team in Taylor, MI.

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating machine tools to precision manufacture parts and components to meet customer specifications.

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of blueprint reading mathematics and precision instruments such as micrometers and dial calipers.
• Clean and perform preventative maintenance on machines, tooling, and parts to ensure optimal performance.
• Machine parts to specifications using various machine tools, including CNC machines.
• Examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.

• Competitive Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
