As a Bilingual Health Care Assistant Float, you will assist patients seeking sexual and reproductive health care by interviewing, screening, educating, and preparing them for their appointment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with medical and administrative tasks, including interviewing, screening, and educating them on their health care options.
  • Provide medical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation in the clinic setting.
  • Facilitate clinic flow, ensure availability of patient care supplies, and perform laboratory and screening procedures.
  • Participate in the implementation of patient care plans and provide non-judgmental, patient-centered care to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
  • Perform front desk duties, including greeting patients, answering phones, and making appointments.
  • Assist with laboratory and screening procedures, including venipuncture and IM injections.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients on reproductive health, family planning, and other related topics.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification from an accredited medical assistant technical program preferred.
  • Experience in reproductive health, family planning, obstetrics, gynecology, or related medical/surgical experience a plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, staff, and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR), electronic practice management (EPM) system, Office 365, and Microsoft Office Products preferred.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus.
Working Conditions

The position is generally performed in a medical office environment, but involves frequent interruptions. The noise level is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
