Job Description

We are seeking an experienced youth development worker to join our team at Children's Day School. As a substitute instructor, you will be responsible for supervising students in grades 1-8 and supporting the operation of our afterschool program.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and an associate's degree or equivalent preferred. They will also have experience teaching or leading youth activities and excellent classroom management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in grades 1-8
  • Support the operation of the afterschool program
  • Teach in the event of instructor absences

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Experience teaching or leading youth activities
  • Excellent classroom management skills

Compensation:

$27.00/hr - depending on education and experience

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, stand, move, communicate, hear and read during the course of normal teaching activities
  • Able to think and concentrate for sustained periods of time, and to perform teaching responsibilities with patience and professionalism required to effectively work with children
  • In person attendance necessary to perform essential job functions
  • May be exposed to childhood illnesses
