Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your primary responsibility will be to care for patients with end-stage renal disease, providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
  • Measure and record patient statistics, including vital signs and laboratory results
  • Set up and operate hemodialysis machines, ensuring accurate and efficient treatment
  • Build long-term relationships with patients, providing education and support on kidney disease and dialysis-related topics
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, and social workers
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles
  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical and mental ability to work on your feet for extended periods
  • Healthcare experience a plus, including certifications in phlebotomy, nursing, or medical assisting
