Opportunity Overview:

As a Senior Paint Preparation Specialist, you will be integral to the Paint department team. Your role will involve prioritizing tasks, coordinating workflows, and ensuring the smooth operation of the powder coating line and oven. Reporting directly to the department Supervisor, you will manage production activities, foster staff development, and help uphold quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize departmental assignments as instructed by the Supervisor
  • Delegate tasks based on team members' skills and job priorities
  • Oversee productivity and safety within the team
  • Identify opportunities for operational enhancements
  • Maintain documentation and uphold quality benchmarks
  • Facilitate effective communication with team members and Leads across shifts
  • Ensure optimal output and efficiency during each shift
  • Maintain equipment calibration and cleanliness within the department
  • Serve as a role model for all team members
  • Monitor production quality and adherence to industry regulations

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a leadership capacity is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail in task execution
  • Ability to operate various shop tools
  • Basic mathematical and literacy skills
  • Good manual dexterity and focus on detailed work
  • Experience with solvents or paints is advantageous
