We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Loan Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our loan servicing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful boarding of loans, accurate maintenance and servicing of loan files, and providing prompt and courteous customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Issue checks and prepare GL tickets, book new Consumer and Commercial loans to FIS.
  • Prepare the initial post-closing review of documents, set up loan in FIS and in Sageworks, prepare and index new loan files for imaging, and prepare related paperwork on new loans and send information and/or checks to third parties, the real estate tax servicer, and various governmental agencies to record liens.
  • Prepare paperwork, issue checks, make deposits, and perform data entry into FIS for advances on Construction, Borrowing Base, and other types of Lines of Credit. Responsible for all transaction posting for the entire Lending Area.
  • Update modification, extension, and renewal documents for both Residential and Consumer, process fees in FIS, and prepare data and processing information on recycled loans.
  • Sort and process daily mail, monitor ticklers for collateral, legal, and insurance documents, file continuations and amendments to UCCs as necessary, and collaborate with the VP, Loan Operations Manager, and Loan Officers on follow-up of required items for both the Consumer and Commercial portfolio.
  • Prepare and process construction advances, track permits, and update construction schedules.
  • Prepare partial release statements and documents for Attorneys.
  • Monitor Miniter insurance inbox and prepare weekly reports to send to the Commercial lending team and upload all insurance documents to FCM and Miniter.
  • Process all participation remittances.
  • Receive, investigate, and resolve customer inquiries regarding billing and other loan issues, collaborate with the VP, Loan Operations Manager, Loan Officers, and other Bank personnel on billing and other servicing issues.
  • Service customer, third-party, and internal requests for payoff quotes, process payoff in FIS, and prepare paid loan and release of collateral documents for Consumer and Commercial Portfolio, mail documents, and file folders, and notify third parties.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service.
  • Research and respond to customer inquiries and problems.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of experience in loan servicing.
  • Knowledge of loan processing practices, methods, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Commercial, Real Estate, and Consumer loan files and documents strongly preferred.
  • Good understanding of financial institutions' products and services.
  • Ability to provide courteous, knowledgeable, and professional customer service both in person and on the telephone.
  • Strong skills operating a personal computer, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, exercise good judgment, and make and act upon decisions with minimal supervision.
