Job Overview

Position: Front Desk Agent - Full Time

Compensation: $15/hour

Shifts: Combination of first, mid, and second shifts. Must be available on weekends with open availability.

Key Responsibilities

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional service and support. Your primary duties will include:

  1. Welcoming guests and completing check-in procedures to ensure satisfaction and prompt room assignments.
  2. Facilitating guest departures by processing check-outs efficiently and accurately.
  3. Managing financial transactions, including calculating and posting charges, to maintain precise hotel records.
  4. Responding to inquiries and accepting reservations in person and over the phone, utilizing effective communication and sales techniques.
  5. Maintaining knowledge of hotel services and local events to assist guests with their needs.
  6. Operating PBX equipment to manage incoming and outgoing calls and providing timely assistance.
  7. Handling cash transactions responsibly, adhering to hotel banking policies.
  8. Exhibiting a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
  9. Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Additional Responsibilities

In addition to the primary duties, you will also:

  1. Process guest mail, messages, and faxes, ensuring timely delivery.
  2. Contribute to departmental communication by maintaining logs and records.
  3. Assist colleagues and other departments to enhance overall hotel performance.

Qualifications

Knowledge: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should possess basic mathematical skills, cash handling experience, and familiarity with computerized cash register systems. Previous customer service experience is essential.

Skills: Proficiency in computer usage is necessary. Candidates must have the ability to read written communications and operate standard office equipment.

Abilities: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial. Candidates should be able to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.

Work Environment: This position requires prolonged standing indoors.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Day and evening shifts available.
