Job Summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Mastectomy Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our Durable Medical Equipment (DME) team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality in mastectomy, compression garment, and oncology product fittings.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Fittings: Conduct thorough and accurate fittings for compression garments, mastectomy products, canes, and other oncology-related items, ensuring a comfortable and proper fit for each patient.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of oncology products, including ordering, stocking, pricing, sales, marketing, and merchandising, to ensure optimal product availability and minimize waste.
  • Training and Education: Train and educate all fitters on regulatory requirements, product knowledge, and Shine policies and procedures, ensuring a high level of expertise and consistency across the team.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate patient files, prepare required paperwork for claims submission, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS in a related field of study preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Mastectomy Fitter (CMF) certification required; compression garment fitting experience a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of four years retail sales experience and two years of fitting experience required; experience in healthcare or fitting durable medical equipment a plus.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Point of Sale systems.
