About the Role

Kinetik is a leading provider of gathering, compression, processing, transportation, and water management services for the oil and gas industry in the Permian Basin. We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Technician to join our team in the West Texas SE New Mexico area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate pipeline valves during pigging operations and respond to emergencies.
  • Locate pipelines and interface with third-party contractors performing construction.
  • Purge and pack pipeline segments to initiate pipeline operation and monitor pressure to ensure safe operating parameters.
  • Discontinue pipeline operation by safely venting to atmosphere or flaring contents.
  • Assist with internal corrosion prevention and mitigation activities.
  • Maintain professional competence and knowledge to effectively complete responsibilities.
  • Support company policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules.
  • Perform responsibilities with a high degree of efficiency and adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Minimum two years' related experience, preferably in Midstream.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and applications, including Microsoft Office products and X Map.
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to federal, state, and company policies and procedures.
Working Conditions
  • Office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Outdoor work in adverse or extreme weather conditions.
  • Frequent driving to other field facilities within the assigned region.
  • Availability outside of normal working hours as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  • Ability to work effectively in all working conditions.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. in a safe manner.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
