Job Summary

Maxwell Construction is seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team. As a Laborer, you will perform a variety of tasks to support our construction projects, including cleaning up worksites, handling materials, and assisting specialized workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist construction teams with tasks such as cleaning up worksites, handling materials, and assisting specialized workers.
  • Perform manual labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.
  • Operate power tools and equipment, such as saws and drills, to support construction projects.
  • Help set up and transfer temporary structures, such as scaffolding.
  • Report any issues with equipment or unsafe conditions to the construction team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions and plans.
  • Responsible for the health and safety of others.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, walk, and work at heights for extended periods of time.
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects while carrying tools and equipment.
Environmental Conditions
  • May work outside and exposed to weather.
  • Wear protective or safety equipment, such as safety boots/shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.
  • Work in dusty or dirty surroundings.
  • May be exposed to high levels of noise, grease, dust, and a variety of substances that are typically associated with a construction site.
